पृथ्वीवरील पाण्याचे वितरण (Distribution of Earth's Water)

पृथ्वीवरील एकूण  पाण्यापैकी ९७. २ टक्के पाणी महासागर व सागरामध्ये (Oceans)  आहे. हिमनदी व बर्फाच्या (Glaciers) स्वरूपात पाण्याचे प्रमाण २. १५ टक्के आहे. भूजलाचे (Groundwater) प्रमाण ०.६२ टक्के आहे. गोडया पाण्यातील तलावामध्ये (Freshwater Lakes) ०.००९ टक्के असून खारे पाण्याच्या तलावात आणि अंतर्गत समुद्रामधील (saline lakes and inland seas) पाण्याचे प्रमाण ०. ००८ टक्के इतके आहे. वातावरणातील (Atmosphere) पाण्याचे प्रमाण ०. ००१ टक्के असून   प्रवाह प्रणालीमध्ये (Stream channels) फक्त ०. ०००१ टक्के इतकेच  आहे.
